This morning we packed boxes for Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child at Central Church of Christ and visited the podcast studios there for the "We Are Here" program celebrating Streator. We packed 30 boxes. From volunteers and through donations, the church has put together 1,178 boxes total, each full of essential clothing items and toys for children of all ages. These boxes will be shipped to children in need all over the world; and for many, it will be the only gift they receive.

Additionally, Paul and Tony showed us the podcast studio and talked about the program they designed through the church's mission to promote positivity in the community. The "We Are Here" podcast spotlights an individual in the community, celebrating Streator. Many of the community leaders we've visited have been interviewed. The podcast is posted on YouTube, Apple and Spotify.
