Thank you to Josh and Dane for hosting us earlier this week at Bloomington St. Tattoos, especially since one of us is interested in becoming a tattoo artist and operating her own shop someday. Josh talked about all the permits and licensing needed to operate a tattoo and piercing shop. They also talked about how important sanitation is in performing tattoos and piercings. We learned about how tattoo artists go through an apprenticeship. Word of mouth and reputation is important to the promotion of their business.
