Thank you to Afton, Arlette and Greg at Danchris Nursery for hosting us for a business visit. Afton explained the ways Danchris Nursery has diversified its products and services. She talked about the process of landscaping and the value of math, design and computer skills. She shared what it's like running a business with family (with her mom and dad, having her son help) and about work-life balance, and taking on extra jobs and projects on top of it. Afton encouraged us to start listing the pros and cons of our possible future careers, and thinking about what we value most.
