Thank you to Emma from Em's Design Company for visiting and sharing her entrepreneurial journey. A Streator Township High School District 40 graduate, Emma started her custom embroidery, vinyl and paint design business a few years ago when she still was in high school. After restoring a wooden chair and giving it as a gift, she was encouraged by people around her to go into business to share her creativity. She shared how she started from the ground up, explaining the value of word of mouth, the importance of setting your business apart from others, satisfying customers and advertising on social media, among other topics. She also talked about how she sets prices for her products. The conversation was excellent as soon we'll be deciding on a class business.
