Ms. Debra Scudder came in this morning and spoke with the group. Deb spent her career teaching art to high school students, now she uses her talents in her side hustle called “Unique by TEKE.” She brought in many great examples of her work in painting, jewelry, crafts, and more. Deb also provided business advice and spoke on pricing, trademarks, and partnering with others for shelf space. She volunteers with the IL Valley Brain Injury Clubhouse, and emphasized the importance of giving back to the community. Through her volunteer work, hosting fundraising paint parties, and helping with high school musicals; Deb definitely gives back locally.
